Bukayo Saka has said Arsenal "did it for the fans" after the Gunners romped to victory in their UEFA Europa League quarter-final clash with Slavia Prague.
Arsenal booked a place in the semi-finals of the competition after winning 4-0 against Prague in the second leg, having drawn the first leg of the tie 1-1 at the Emirates Stadium last week.
That left Arsenal facing a difficult task in Prague, with Slavia protecting a formidable record at home in recent times, but Arsenal put in a superb display to brush aside their opponents from the Czech Republic.
After Emile Smith Rowe had a goal ruled out early on, Nicolas Pepe opened the scoring for the visitors, before Alexandre Lacazette converted a penalty to double the advantage.
Saka then made it 3-0 inside 24 minutes, before Lacazette added a fourth goal in the second half as Arsenal set up a semi-final clash with Villarreal.
And Saka had a message for the Arsenal fans as he reflected on the win after the game in an interview with BT Sport.
“Yeah it was fantastic from start to finish," he said.
"We did it for all the fans, they all deserve it and we are really happy to progress and happy with the performance.
“I think we showed real character. I heard it was only a fraction offside. We kept going and then we got the goals, we pretty much killed the game in the first half.
“I feel like we played well in the first leg, but we weren’t clinical. Credit to the manager and the coaching staff, with the rotations, they couldn’t stop us.
“I think it shows how exciting it can be and what we can do. It is amazing to be involved in when we play like this and I am sure it is excitin for the fans.
“We have got a great chance of going to the final and winning this competition. I think it is really up to us, we have the quality, we just have to show the performances and game management like we did tonight.”
