Bukayo Saka has already given Arsenal 'dream' transfer verdict amid Man City and Liverpool links

Bukayo Saka has described playing for Arsenal as his ‘dream’ amid links with a move away from the club. Manchester City and Liverpool have both reportedly shown interest in the England international.

The 20-year-old has scored 11 goals and racked up seven assists in 38 Premier League appearances in the past season, rounding out a fine individual campaign. It has led to plenty of praise from Mikel Arteta about his progress.

“What he [Saka] is already doing is phenomenal and he needs that room. Don't read too much, do what you do. Football is his priority in life and you can see that every day in training and he needs to continue to behave and live the way that he is doing," the Spaniard said.

With Saka’s current deal running until 2024, there will be concerns surrounding his long-term stay beyond then. Reports have suggested that talks are ongoing between the Gunners and the forward over extending the stay.

However, a lack of Champions League qualification may make that a tougher negotiation process. That is something which both Liverpool and Man City can offer amid transfer links.

Amid such reports, Saka’s previous claims about the club may prove important in extending his deal. When he signed his previous contract, he took to Twitter to say: “London is my home. Arsenal is my team.

“I'm so happy to finally announce my contract extension. I love playing for this club and I'm looking forward to what the future holds. The hard work continues so I can continue living my dream.”

The Gunners will certainly be hoping this verdict still holds true, despite missing out on the Champions League, with Saka still a key player in the side.
