Bukayo Saka given £150 million price tag after Jack Grealish sets benchmark

Bukayo Saka has been subject to various interest from a host of unnamed clubs who have began to register formal interest in the 20-year-old, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Arsenal consider the England international, whose contract in north London expires in 2024, untouchable and a pillar to their current project at the Emirates, despite the growing interest around the youngster.

The Gunners reportedly see Saka's future firmly at London Colney, but continue to risk losing the Hale End graduate's devotion due to the club's faltering form and absence from European football.

Saka has been enjoying a healthy trajectory of late by building his reputation across Europe after a promising Euro 2020 campaign, meanwhile, Arsenal have been suffering quite the opposite with a sour descent.

Tom Canton and Bailey Keogh, The Arsenal Way writer and presenter duo, spoke about Saka's future, discussing where it lies and whether he will one day outgrow his childhood side, live on the Arsenal Way show via football.london's Arsenal Facebook page.

Canton kickstarted by delving into how much Saka would be worth to Arsenal, should the Gunners concede defeat and open the door to his departure.

"Why wouldn't he be earning interest? He's 20-years-old, an England international, and has been playing in the Premier League since the age of 17. It's unsurprising he is garnering that interest," he said, before quizzing Keogh on Saka's valuation.

Keogh replied, insisting that he would want an eye-watering £100-£150 million for the youngster's signature, noting the recent sale of Jack Grealish as a benchmark.

"Look at Grealish, he was £100 million and 26-years-old," Keogh said. "Jadon Sancho, £80 to £90 million, also a youngster. So, for Bukayo Saka I would put him at around £100 to £150 million price range."

Canton, playing devil's advocate, asked Keogh if he would accept that valuation should a team meet his demands, with either wary of the ramifications of Saka's potential departure.

"If we have a ready-made replacement, I would consider it but at the moment he is untouchable for me," Keogh responded.

Canton then proposed to Keogh whether he would sell Saka if it meant that Arsenal signed Serge Gnabry from Bayern Munich on a free, with the German's deal expiring in 2023.

"It's such an attractive offer but I can't," he said. "Saka is so crucial to us, he's our boy! Saka is our boy - I wouldn't accept that, it is tempting though, but no."
