Bukayo Saka explains how Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko are inspiring Arsenal

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has detailed how former Manchester City men Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko have brought belief to the dressing room after their victory over West Ham.

The Hammers looked as though they may pull off an upset on Boxing Day in North London when Said Benrahma's penalty gave David Moyes' team the lead at the break. However, Arsenal did well to fight back and extend their lead at the top of the Premier League.

Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah all scored within 16 minutes of each other to secure a comfortable victory for the Gunners. Mikel Arteta's men now have an eight-point lead over Manchester City after Pep Guardiola's team dropped to third following Newcastle's win at Leicester.

City will have to wait until Wednesday and a trip to Leeds in order to bring their rivals back within five points. Speaking after the impressive fightback, England and Arsenal's key man Saka praised two ex-Blues for their ability to overturn the deficit and for giving them that winning edge this campaign.

The 21-year-old told Amazon Prime Video : "Jesus and Zinchenko bring that belief that we can win. Jesus was not even on the pitch today but we can still feel his presence.

"He was speaking to me and the other boys in the changing rooms." Jesus and Zinchenko both moved to the capital in the summer as they looked to establish themselves as key players in a dressing room.

Jesus picked up a knee injury at the World Cup but has scored five goals since making the switch to the Emirates. Zinchenko has also suffered with injuries to his knee and calf but has managed ten appearances in all competitions since leaving Manchester.
