Building supplies firm Hevey buys Huntingdon Timber

Hevey Building Supplies has announced the acquisition of Huntingdon Timber Ltd.

Huntingdon Timber has been operating from St Peter’s Road Industrial Estate in Huntingdon since 2004, under the ownership of David Biddle, Patricia Reynolds and Stuart Bradley.

The owners approached Hevey Building Supplies as they believed the business was a natural fit for Hevey.

Mark Mulvey, managing director of Hevey, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to acquire this well-established business from its retiring owners.

“Huntingdon Timber has great staff and loyal customers, a reputation for great service and a comprehensive stock holding.

“We’re really looking forward to developing the Hevey brand in Huntingdon – a thriving area with an excellent transport network.”

Hevey is part of the Lords Group of Companies. Lords CEO Shanker Patel said: “The Lords Group is delivering on its commitment to grow the business to be a leading supplier within the merchant industry.

“Our investments in building our team is enabling the Group to achieve its long term goals and I am grateful to all our colleagues for their commitment and hard work.”
