VIJAYAWADA: A 45-year-old man was brutally thrashed to death at his residence at Devineni Gandhipuram Colony under Nunna police station limits in the city on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Peethala Appala Raju, a builder.
According to Nunna police, the incident happened late in the night when unidentified assailants broke into his house and attacked Raju with rods and other weapons.
The incident came to light in the morning after Raju's friends visited his place and found him in a pool of blood. They alerted police who reached the spot. Cops said they are examining local CCTV footage and Raju's call records.
