Builder downs litre of vodka before racially abusing and attacking a police officer

A construction worker downed a litre of vodka before racially abusing and assaulting a police officer in his flat in Edinburgh.

Dad-of-three Daniel Lukanski, 35, was being detained at his address in Edinburgh by the officer when he hurled the racist remarks.

He called the officer an “Irish p***y” and an “Irish c***” during the incident, reports the Record.

Lukanski admitted acting in a racially aggravated manner towards PC Ryan Bunting in March – shouting, swearing and using racially offensive language during a hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.

He also pled guilty to an assault on PC Bunting by struggling with him.

Sheriff Peter McCormack fined Lukanski, who has returned to his native Poland, £320.
