Build-A-Bear Pay Your Age Day is back - but this time it's without the queues

A Build-A-Bear offer letting children pay their age for a teddy is back - but this time you don't have to queue.

Last year families queued in their thousands to make the most of the chance to get a discounted bear from the popular store, which has branches in the Trafford Centre, Manchester Arndale and The Rock in Bury.

Some stores were forced to close the queues early amid safety concerns over growing crowds.

Now the offer is back later this month, but the retailer is taking a different approach to avoid the chaos of last summer.

Instead families are being asked to register online here between now and June 16.

Around 200,000 people worldwide will then be invited to dedicated Pay Your Age slots between June 24 and 28.

The offer means that instead of paying the usual £25 or so for a character, a three-year-old for example would pay £3, with the minimum £1 charge for under ones.

A maximum of two children can get a bear with each ticket, but both children must be present on the day to make it.

Almost the entire collection of furry friends is up for grabs, including Trolls, Hello Kitty, Star Wars and any of Build-A-Bear's own collection. The only ones excluded from the offer are How To Train Your Dragon and Pokémon.

Every person who registers will get a money off coupon and also be entered into a sweepstake to win a birthday party experience.
