Every so often, Build-A-Bear announces a new product. Over the years we have seen countless collections featuring our favourite TV and film characters - from The Nightmare Before Christmas to The Grinch and Aladdin, it's safe to say the brand knows what we want when it comes to stuffed teddies.
But Build-A-Bear's latest product announcement could be it's most exciting yet, as shoppers have gone wild for it - and it's not even been released yet.
In a bid to please fans of Star Wars and The Mandalorian, Build-A-Bear has announced it will be releasing a Baby Yoda toy, and it's just as cute as you'd imagine.
During a presentation on Tuesday at the ICR Conference in Orlando, Florida, the brand's CEO Sharon Price John confirmed the news.
She said: "I'm excited to share we will be one of the first companies to provide the digital and internet phenomenon who is trending higher than all the presidential candidates combined."
She added: "We now will have The Child, also known as Baby Yoda."
Sharon then went on to show the audience the Baby Yoda toy, explaining: "It's great, again, to be in business with best-in-class partners," John said, adding that Build-A-Bear, Disney, and Lucasfilm worked quickly to make the Baby Yoda character a reality.
"We started this process almost with the first episode."
After the news was announced, it wasn't long before Twitter blew up, with fans clearly over the moon with the news.
"I WANT A BABY YODA BUILDABEAR," exclaimed one Twitter user.
"BUILD A BEAR IS RELEASING A BUILD A BABY YODA CAN YOU HEAR MY BREATHING COLLAPSE EYE," shouted somebody else.
A third wrote: "BUILD A BEAR BABY YODA IS COMING AND I NEED ONE NOW."
Somebody else added: "Baby yoda plushie coming to Build-A-Bear?! I wanna build 10."
"I will literally fight a five year old if it means getting my hands on one," joked another fan.
Build-A-Bear has not yet confirmed a release date, but when it does we will be sure to update you.
