Build-A-Bear is launching a Baby Yoda stuffed toy - and it's on sale very soon

It's been a few months since the launch of Disney+ series The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda fever is sweeping the Internet.

And fans of the little green guy are in for a treat very soon, as Build-A-Bear is launching a stuffed toy version of The Child.

The toy retailer recently announced the news during a presentation in Orlando, Florida, and left social media in a frenzy.

One person said: "@buildabear is it true!? Is The Child coming soon? #babyyoda."

While another wrote: "Never thought I'd camp outside of @buildabear but here we are."

For those who don't know, Baby Yoda is the young version of Yoda from the original Star Wars movies.

It has been confirmed that Build-a-Bear's Baby Yoda toy is likely to arrive in UK stores in the coming months.

Speaking at a presentation, Build-A-Bear CEO Sharon Price John said: "I'm excited to share we will be one of the first companies to provide the digital and internet phenomenon who is trending higher than all the presidential candidates combined.

"We now will have The Child, also known as Baby Yoda."

Holding up a Baby Yoda stuffed toy to show the audience, she then said it would be available at Build-A-Bear workshops in the new few months.

Until then, the brand has a range of Star Wars plush toys already available in workshops and online at buildabear.co.uk .

But Build-A-Bear isn't the only toy retailer jumping in on the Baby Yoda trend.

Meanwhile, online fashion retailer Missguided is selling an super cute Baby Yoda t-shirt for £18.99 .
