Bugzy Malone announces UK tour with a massive homecoming gig in Manchester

Bugzy Malone has announced a massive UK tour for this winter, including a huge homecoming gig.

The Manchester-born rapper will perform at the AO Arena, formerly known as the Manchester Arena, on Saturday December 4.

It will be the first time the star has performed a headline show on the stage at the venue.

The Resurrection Tour comes in support of his new album, The Resurrection, which was released last week.

His second studio album features singles Salvador, Welcome to the Hood featuring Emeli Sande, Don't Cry featuring Dermot Kennedy, and M.E.N III - the third instalment in a series of songs written about the Manchester Evening News.

M.E.N. III debuted at number 18 in the UK singles chart, Bugzy's highest single chart position to date.

The 30-year-old star has been a key player in the 'grime revival' since bursting onto the scene in 2015.

The self-titled King of the North has achieved massive commercial success and worked with musicians including Rag n Bone Man, Dizzee Rascal and Aitch.

Last year, he launched his own B Malone clothing line and made his acting debut in Guy Ritchie's hit film The Gentlemen.

He's now working with Ritchie again on a new film, alongside Jason Statham and Aubrey Plaza.

The news of his massive tour comes after a near-fatal bike crash in Bury earlier this year, that left him fighting for survival.

The Resurrection Tour will be made up of eight dates across the UK, kicking off in Bristol on Monday November 22.

The tour will wrap up here in his hometown of Manchester on December 4, at the AO Arena.

Tickets will go on general sale at 9am on Friday June 4, from Ticketmaster.
