Old car transforms into cool robot
It’s 1987, and Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld) is a young girl about to turn 18. She’s trying to find her place in the world when she discovers Bumblebee, a battered old yellow Volkswagen Beetle — also known as a VW Bug. The car seems abandoned and has the key in it, so Charlie drives it home. While cleaning the car, it transforms into a shy robot. It turns out that the robot car, nicknamed Bumblebee, is on the run and being chased by some evil car-robots. Charlie and Bumblebee begin dangerous adventure where any other vehicle could transform into a deadly enemy.
