Budget 2021: Watch live stream as Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe to announce financial plan for next year

Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe is set to deliver the Budget 2021 at around lunchtime today.

A number of key changes are expected, with many fearing it could be the toughest Budget we've seen since the last recession, with Covid-19 and Brexit looming over Government.

And with things set to kick-off at the Convention Centre from 1pm, you can follow all the action from our live stream, provided by Oireachtas TV:

The Government expects to run a budget deficit this year of just over €21 billion or 6% of GDP.

Christmas bonuses for those one social welfare and the PUP are one of the main talking points pre-Budget.

The Ministers have been tight-lipped on any decision although such pressure has mounted that it is expected the bonus will be awarded as usual.

Cigarette smokers are likely to be hit again although it's unclear what will happen with alcohol.

But the carbon tax is set to rise, adding €1.28 to the cost of a 60-litre tank of petrol or €1.47 to the same amount of diesel.

A lifeline to the live entertainment sector is also proposed with a grant scheme expected in.
