Pub landlord Clement Ogbonnaya opened The Prince of Peckham pub in 2017 and turned the South London boozer into a huge success.
But like the thousands of other pubs, it has taken a hit this year.
Clement says he’s relieved about the freeze on alcohol duty but thinks the business rates relief don’t go far enough.
“The business rates relief won’t help me personally but I imagine for the rest of the hospitality sector it will be a great help.
"It’s only until July though, which is still quite a short time considering we actually open fully in June with no guarantee we will be getting back to the level of trade we need.

"But every little helps I guess.
“Expecting them to reduce the beer duty was very ambitious but a freeze is great.
"It means as pubs we can continue purchase at the same levels but ultimately means customers can continue to consume drinks at the same price, so they don’t have to bear the brunt of it.”
Clement’s been so successful with his pub that he starred in Tom Kerridge’s BBC show Saving Britain’s Pubs, where he gave advice to struggling landlords on how to make the most of their business.
He says: “It’s four years in May since I opened up the trade.
"I grew up in Peckham and wanted a space that really represented Peckham, not just its present but it’s past as well.
"I wanted a space that everyone can call home, not just the affluent people pouring into the area.
"Ultimately it has to be one that’s culturally rich.
“I’m black and pubs historically haven’t exactly felt like where people of colour were welcome.
"It’s all about community and that’s what I’ve tried to do with Prince of Peckham. It’s a really fun pub.”
