Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe delivered his Budget 2020 speech in the Dail at lunchtime today.

Mr Donohoe outlined Ireland's financial plan for the coming year with a No-Deal Brexit looming.

But how much does it cost to make the book we hear so much about?

Last year the Government spent exactly €52,590.63 in making Budget 2019, including €26,609 forked out in overtime to civil servants.

The installing and renting of Xerox printing machines cost €2,920 last year, while €1,924 was spent on other "printing and graphic equipment."

Another €3,632 was paid for Xerox out of hours onsite support and a stand-by analyst, according to figures obtained by the Irish Mirror under the Freedom of Information Act.

Expenditure titled "Design and Artwork", "Infographics" and "Production of printing 500 4 page A4 folders" came to a combined total of €4,393.

On top of paying nearly €30,000 in overtime to civil servants, €798 was spent on taxis between October 8 and 10 last year.

The Department of Finance paid €1,850 to the luxury Davenport Hotel for staff to stay the night before the Budget, working out at €185 per person.

Miscellaneous expenses cost €4,502, while another €125 in "petty cash" was spent.

Translating the Budget into Irish also cost €2,767.
