Who is the fastest player in the NFL? 40 Yards of Gold is trying to determine that using a competition of 40-yard dash races. At the end of June, there will be a tournament of offensive players and defensive players racing in pairs to determine who is the fastest. The top offensive player and top defensive players will meet in the final race.
The Arizona Cardinals will be represented. Safety Budda Baker is one of the defensive players slated to run.
Baker’s official 40 time at the NFL combine when he was preparing for the draft was 4.45 seconds.
He isn’t even the fastest player on the team.
The Cardinals have several players who can run the 4.3 range. Patrick Peterson was clocked at 4.34 seconds. Safety Rudy Ford can run under 4.4 seconds. On the offensive side of the ball, they have Kyler Murray, T.J. Logan, Andy Isabella, Chad Williams and Kevin White.
It will be fun to watch Baker race but he is not likely going to win.
Now if the Cardinals were to do something like this, it would be fantastic. Just how fast is Kyler Murray? We all want to see that.
