TAMPA, Fla. — Bruce Arians’ parting message to his players prior to the bye week a few weeks ago was to not let the coronavirus beat them. To their credit, the Bucs have been one of the teams least affected by COVID-19.
But that changed Tuesday.
The team announced placekicker Ryan Succop, punter Bradley Pinion and long snapper Zach Triner have all been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and are under quarantine.
Losing all three specialists prior to Sunday’s game at Atlanta would be a worst-case scenario. The Bucs are hopeful some or all will be activated from that list if they continue to test negative during quarantine.
However, the Bucs have placekicker Greg Joseph on their practice squad and on Sunday brought in three specialists that will be through the COVID-19 protocol should they need them against the Falcons.
