Bucs injury report: CB Carlton Davis downgraded

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers held practice Thursday and released their second injury report of the week. There was only one change and it could affect the starting up on Sunday when they take on the Arizona Cardinals.

In the latest injury report, starting cornerback Carlton Davis was downgraded from limited to not practicing on Thursday. He is dealing with a hip injury.

Three players sat out, all defensive players.

Did not practice

  • LB Carl Nassib (groin)
  • LB Anthony Nelson (hamstring)
  • CB Carlton Davis (hip)

Nassib and Nelson missed for the second day in a row. Head coach Bruce Arians said Wednesday Nelson probably will miss the game. Nassib “has a chance to play.”

Davis’ injury could push Jamel Dean into the starting lineup.

Limited

  • T Demar Dotson (hamstring)
  • G Ali Marpet (ankle)

They were limited for the second straight day. Both start on the offensive line. Dotson played last week. Marpet’s injury is new this week.
