Bucs GM Jason Licht says he’d be happy to let Tom Brady play until he’s 50

Tom Brady, who made the cryptocurrency world happy with his new Twitter profile pic on Monday, will be 44 years old when he starts his 22nd NFL season later this year.

The GOAT, of course, is coming off an incredible first season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in which he led them to a win over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 55. It was a record seventh ring for Brady, who continues to play really good football.

So how long could Brady continue playing? Bucs GM Jason Licht told Rich Eisen on Monday that he would be happy to have the QB around until he’s 50, as long as he’s still able to play at a high level:

“I told him if he wants to play until he’s 50 and he’s still playing, and he feels like he can still play, then he can play until he’s 50.”

I don’t think there’s anyway for Brady to play when he’s 50 but I’ve been wrong a lot in my life so we’ll just have to see.
