TAMPA, Fla. _ The Bucs' offense is decimated by injuries heading into Thursday night's game at Chicago.
Receivers Chris Godwin (hamstring), Justin Watson (chest) and running back LeSean McCoy (ankle) will not play. Running back Leonard Fournette (ankle) is doubtful, leaving Ronald Jones and rookie Ke'Shawn Vaughn as the Bucs' only healthy running backs.
In addition, receivers Mike Evans (ankle) and Scotty Miller (hip) are listed as questionable but expected to play.
That many injuries on a short week make it difficult for offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich to make a game plan.
With McCoy out, the Bucs will have to lean heavily on Jones, who rushed for a career-high 111 yards in Sunday's 38-31 win over the Chargers; and Vaughn, who made the game-winning TD reception.
Josh Pearson, a practice-squad receiver, traveled with the team and could play. The Bucs also will have to lean more heavily on rookie Tyler Johnson.
It will be a bit of a jigsaw puzzle for Leftwich to solve Thursday night.
