TAMPA, Fla. — Wide receiver Antonio Brown has passed his physical and signed his contract with the Bucs.
Brown agreed to a one-year deal to return to Tampa Bay on April 28 that could be worth up to $6.25 million. He is guaranteed $3.1 million, including a $2 million signing bonus.
The agreement came one week after Brown reached a settlement on a civil suit with his former trainer, who had accused him of sexually assaulting her on three separate occasions.
Brown signed with the Bucs last season after being suspended for the first eight games for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy after assaulting a moving van driver.
In eight regular-season games last year, Brown had 45 receptions for 483 yards and four touchdowns. In three playoff games, he recorded eight catches for 81 yards and two touchdowns, including one in Super Bowl 55.
But Brown initially was unable to pass his physical due to a minor knee injury suffered in the divisional playoff win at New Orleans. He did not play in the NFC Championship Game at Green Bay but was able to return for the Super Bowl.
The Bucs also signed defensive back Dee Delaney, who entered the league as a college free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018. He has played in three career games, appearing in two games with the Jaguars in 2018 and one game with the Washington Football Team in 2019. Delaney also spent time on the practice squads of both the Jaguars and the Miami Dolphins.
