Bucks’ Jevon Carter had the best answer ever when asked about his career-high scoring performance

Milwaukee Bucks guard Jevon Carter is a very underrated basketball player, and he just had the best game of his professional career.

The 27-year-old helped lead the Bucks to a 136-132 double-overtime victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. Carter finished with 36 points and 12 assists in 45 minutes. Each of those marks was a career-high for the 6-foot-1 former West Virginia guard.

After the game, Carter was asked when he realized at what point in the game he realized that he “had it” and needed to keep going. Carter responded with the best thing he possibly could have said during that celebratory moment:

Carter looked at the reporter and then responded: “When I woke up.”

That’s it! That’s all he said! That truly and sincerely sent a shiver down my spine because of how cold it was. I mean, my goodness. What an awesome display of confidence from Carter, who is averaging 4.6 points per game in his NBA career.

Carter, who was able to connect on five 3-pointers during the game, could play an integral role for Milwaukee during the postseason if he can shoot like that more often.
