There is "growing disquiet" at Buckingham Palace after Prince Harry announced he has been writing a tell-all book that will be published next year, sources have claimed.
The Duke of Sussex has vowed to deliver a “wholly truthful and accurate” account of his life in the Royal Family, as well as what he has been doing after stepping down as a senior royal.
A senior source at the Palace told the Evening Standard : "It is fair to say there is growing disquiet about this project at the Palace."
The insider added Harry's announcement "was not unexpected", even though yesterday sources close to Prince Charles said they were "surprised" at the news.
It comes as insiders told The Mirror the thought of Prince Harry's memoir has sparked a " tsunami of fear " in royal circles.
Harry said he was writing his memoir "not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become."
In a statement confirming the book yesterday, Harry said: “I've worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story - the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned - I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.
“I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I've learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that's accurate and wholly truthful.”
The book is expected to be released in late 2022 and will be published in print and digital formats in the US by Random House and in Canada by Random House Canada.
It will be published in the UK by Transworld, an imprint of Penguin Random House, and Harry will be donating the proceeds to charity.
Publisher Penguin Random House said the "intimate and heartfelt" book will provide a "definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him."
The publisher explained the book would cover Harry's childhood, his military service including time on the frontlines in Afghanistan, and his life as a husband and father.

Last month, Meghan Markle's book "The Bench" was published.
The Duchess of Sussex said in a statement: "The Bench started as a poem I wrote for my husband on Father's Day, the month after Archie was born.
"That poem became this story."
Meghan said: "My hope is that The Bench resonates with every family, no matter the makeup, as much as it does with mine.”
