Buckingham Palace confirm Meghan Markle will not attend Prince Philip's funeral due to doctor's advice

Meghan Markle has been advised not to travel to the UK for Prince Philip's funeral, a Palace spokesman has said.

Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, died at Windsor Castle on Friday morning.

Weeks earlier, Prince Philip had been reunited with the Queen after a 28-night stay at a London hospital.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, will not be attending the funeral following advice from a doctor not to travel to the UK, MirrorOnline reports.

The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, will attend.

The couple announced that Meghan Markle is pregnant with their second child in February.

Details of the funeral ceremony were revealed on Saturday afternoon.
