Buckfast set to launch ‘tropical’ flavour tonic wine this summer

Buckfast is set to launch a ‘tropical’ flavour of the tonic wine this summer.

Bosses say the new flavour has the potential to divide fans as much as Brexit.

Victor Headlock, a spokesman for the drink brand, said: “Much like Brexit we’re guessing that half the nation will love this drink, the other half will probably hate it.”

The ‘tropical’ flavour comes in the iconic green bottle but features a green label instead of yellow.

Buckfast last launched a new product in 2016 with the miniature version of the classic tonic wine.

Another wrote: “Catch us tanning this in costa del Cathcart this summer.”

Another said: “I would actually try this though.”

Another wrote: “Some things just shouldn’t be changed.”

Another fan said: “There’s only one Bucky.”
