Buckeye Cruise for Cancer sets new record, raises over $4 Million to fight cancer

Now this is a battle even a Michigan fan can get behind. The Buckeye Cruise for Cancer has become an annual event many in Buckeye Nation look forward to, and it just finished up its 2020 sailing.

Last year the cruise made $3.25 Million, but that has been surpassed with a new record of approximately $4.2 million based on initial reports. The official amount will be released later, but it seems like every year brings more money in for an extremely good cause.

All proceeds go to benefit the Urban and Shelly Meyer Fund for Cancer Research.

The annual event always packs in some notable Ohio State celebrities and this year was no different. Urban Meyer, Ezekiel Elliott, J.T. Barrett, and Kirk Herbstreit were just some of the notables. And he’s not a Buckeye, but country singer Darius Rucker even provided some entertainment this year for all those that decided to get on the boat.

Now it’s time to think about the 2021 sailing. Are you on board?
