When a rabbit began haring round the Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, halting the final Camping World Truck Series practice, officials tasked with catching the intruder did not necessarily mind where the buck stopped, just that it did.
Track workers and Nascar officials were forced to give chase to the rabbit as it ran on the front stretch of the track, delaying the racing. Displaying remarkable speed and dexterity, the rabbit evaded capture for quite some time as track staff attempted to trap it in a large bucket.
Finally the rabbit ran from the track and escaped into the infield where it disappeared, raising the tantalising prospect that it might be hiding for now but could run again.
