Buchanan Street incident: man seriously injured as police confirm woman arrested

A man is in a serious, but stable condition in hospital after being found seriously injured in a flat on Buchanan Street.

Police were called to the city centre address shortly after midnight this morning (Sunday).

The 32-year-old is currently being treated at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and police have confirmed a 25-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 0.25 am on Sunday, 26 July, 2020, police were called after a 32-year-old man was found seriously injured within a flat in Buchanan Street, Glasgow.

“He was taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where, according to medical staff, he remains in a serious but stable condition.

“A 25-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident, however, enquiries are continuing.”
