Buccaneers new uniforms just like their old ones (not *those* old ones)

There’s an old saying that goes ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’ That certainly wouldn’t apply to the Buccaneers’ old creamsicle uniforms. Those things were broke from way back.

Tampa Bay finally got what looked like respectable NFL uniforms when they ditched those hideous reminders of their franchise’s perennially losing past and replaced them with their new pewter and red uniforms. While it wouldn’t have taken much to improve on their previous uniforms, the new ones were a big hit.

Five years after they were introduced, the team won the Super Bowl. So, there was a new winning identity to go along with the new duds.

And yet, ten years later, the club got antsy and decided to change them up again. They went with these odd combo uniforms with digital numbers.

They thought it looked all futuristic, as if Casio watches didn’t exist five years before the franchise’s inception.

And, so, eight years after the new-new uniforms came out, the club announced they would soon have new-new-new uniforms. As it turns out, however, their newest uniforms look a lot like their old-new uniforms.

The difference seems to be the all-white uniform instead of white with pewter bottoms, and the addition of an all pewter uniform. Otherwise, this is a reboot of the uniforms they probably never should have ditched in the first place.
