It took a little time, but the NFL finally got around to issuing fines for the final two weeks of the preseason. And one of those fined involved a hit on Browns QB Baker Mayfield.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers DT Ndamukong Suh earned a fine of $21,056 for a late hit on Mayfield during the preseason Week 3 contest in Tampa. He gave a two-handed shove to Mayfield after the quarterback threw the ball near the right sideline and sent Mayfield flying out of bounds.
Suh was penalized for a personal foul on the play. It is the 14th time the defensive tackle has been fined for his on-field actions since his career began in 2010. The latest fine increases his career fine value to over $680,000.
Mayfield was not hurt on the play.
