'Bubbly' mum, 23, killed in crash as family pays heartbreaking tribute to her

A mum killed in a horror smash has been described as a 'confident, bubbly' daughter whose 'smile lit up a room' in a heartbreaking tribute.

Rebecca Sivyer, 23, was a passenger in a Vauxhall Corsa when it was caught up in a collision on Sunday afternoon.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information that could help them.

After the crash on the A94 Coupar Angus to Forfar road, near Ardler, the mum-of-one, who is from Perth, sadly died, Daily Record reports.

Now, in a moving tribute she has been hailed as a much loved and always happy daughter, sister and mum.

Wendy Ghekis told the Evening Telegraph : “Rebecca was a very much loved daughter, sister and mum.

“She was bubbly, confident and always happy. She had a smile that lit up the room. She is going to be very sadly missed by all of us.”

Other grieving loved ones took to social media to pay tribute to Rebecca through a series of heartfelt, public posts.

Rebecca was hailed as 'an amazing friend' and 'lovely girl' who was 'always smiling'.

One wrote: "Absolutely gutted. She was such an amazing friend. She always made me feel welcome.

"I'm going to miss this girl so much. RIP Rebecca Sivyer."

Another added: "RIP Rebecca. Such a lovely girl."

A third posted: "So sad she was a lovely girl. Always smiling.

"Thinking of her family and little girl at this very difficult time."

Another wrote: "Heartbroken doesn’t come close. Absolutely shattered with this news. You couldn’t have known a purer soul.

"Rest in perfect peace."

The blue Vauxhall Corsa that Rebecca was travelling in was travelling eastbound when it left the road on Sunday at about 5.15pm.

The 29-year-old driver is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Sergeant Ewan Pearce said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased at this time.

“We are conducting extensive enquiries into the circumstances of this incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

“If you were in the area and witnessed the crash, or have any potential dashcam footage which could assist our investigation, please call police on 101, quoting incident 2992 of August 22.”
