Bubba Watson is runaway winner at Dell Match Play

Bubba Watson is acid hot after five days of play at Austin Country Club.

He ran away with the final Sunday afternoon against Kevin Kisner for the WGC-Dell Match Play championship. Watson clinched with a birdie on the par 5 12th hole. That gave him a 7 and 5 win.

Watson, a two-time winner of the Masters, was seeded 35th here in Austin. He reached the final earlier in the day by knocking off Justin Thomas, the world's second-ranked player. If Thomas had qualified for the final, he would've surpassed Dustin Johnson for world's top spot.

Kisner reached the final with a victory over Alex Noren. The match between Noren and Kisner was so tight it went to a one playoff hole to decide it.

Noren dispensed with Thomas for third place, 5 and 3. Thomas very nearly pulled out of the tournament before it started last week after he was diagnosed with strep throat.
