It’s sweet news for BTS fans!
The Korean-pop super group is set to perform its upcoming song “Butter” at the Billboard Music Awards.
The moment at the May 23 ceremony will mark BTS’ debut performance of the song, which will be released as a single two days earlier.
“We can’t hold it in any longer!” BTS announced in a tweet Tuesday. “Our debut performance of “#BTS_Butter” will be at this year’s @BBMAs!”
The seven-member group from Seoul will perform the song remotely, Billboard said, to air during the ceremony in Los Angeles, which kicks of at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
In the past year, BTS has given performances for the Grammys, the MTV Video Music Awards and the 2020 edition of the Billboard Music Awards.
“Butter” marks the second English-language single for BTS, following up on last year’s catching chart-topper, “Dynamite.”
BTS is nominated at four honors at this year’s Billboard Music Awards, including top social artist, which the group has won four years in a row. Fans vote for that award.
Pink, Drake and The Weeknd have also been named performers at the ceremony.
