K-pop powerhouse BTS is set to dominate NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” with a two-day takeover event on back-to-back nights next week.
The world’s most popular boy band will kick off the shriek-inducing stopover Tuesday with the U.S. television debut of “Permission to Dance,” the group’s new song set to drop Friday.
On Wednesday, the band will perform its monster hit “Butter,” NBC said in social media posts touting the megawatt BTS booking.
“Butter” already has ruled the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for six weeks, making it a strong contender for song of the summer.
Next week’s promised performances will mark BTS’s most recent return to Fallon’s stage since the “Tonight Show’s” blockbuster BTS Week last September, where the record-breaking band delighted fans with a different song each night, generating hundreds of millions of digital views for the late night show.
