K-Pop global superstars BTS on Tuesday announced the dates for their much-anticipated 2020 Map of the Soul world tour.
The 37-date trek kicks off April 11 in South Korea and arrives in Chicago for shows on June 5-6 at Soldier Field. It’s a return engagement for the group that headlined two sold-out shows at the outdoor stadium last May. Seventeen cities on three continents are on this year’s tour schedule so far.
Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning at 3 p.m. Feb. 7 at LiveNation.com. A special Global Official Fanclub Army pre-sale gets under way Feb. 2; details/registration available at ticketmaster.com/bts.
The band is touring in support of “Map of the Soul: 7,” their seventh studio album due out Feb. 21. It follows 2019’s “Map of the Soul: Persona.”

Last Friday, BTS released a short “movie” in support of “Black Swan,” the first single off the upcoming album. It’s already received more than 22 million views on YouTube.
BTS is an acronym of Bangtan Sonyeondan or “Beyond the Scene.” Band members include RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook.
