BT Sport viewers demand refund as Tommy Fury and Jake Paul fight cuts out before final round

Some viewers of the hotly-anticipated boxing bout between YouTuber Jake Paul and light heavyweight Tommy Fury were left incensed when the fight coverage cut out before the end of the fight.

The programme had been streaming for several hours before being suddenly interrupted at the most crucial moment of the main event - as Fury and Paul were neck and neck and preparing to enter a thrilling final round. Fans tried to return to the fight after the outage but were met with the infuriating message "event unavailable".

Many took to social media to voice their displeasure and demand their £19.95 payment be refunded by BT Sport Box Office, reports the Manchester Evening News.

@2mum4 tweeted that they were "fuming." @iliwyskc said: "Erm final round and BT sport crashes? #BTSportBoxOffice." @DGWilson175 asked: "What’s happening @btsport??? Last round and event now unavailable??"

Tommy Fury - the brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury - won the hard-fought bout by split decision.

Fury said afterwards: “For the past two-and-a-half years this has consumed my life but tonight I secured my own legacy. This is a world title for me. This was my first main event. I will come back bigger and better and stronger, if he wants the rematch he can bring it on.”

Paul complained of feeling sick while in camp and hurting his arm. The American added: “I have already won in life, in every single way. I have amazing friends and family. This is a humbling experience, but I will get back in the gym and we will be back.”
