BT Sport are throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Rangers vs Celtic in the Betfred Cup Final after it emerged they will broadcast for an astonishing NINE hours on the day of the game.
Coverage of the showpiece match will begin at 9am and continue through to 6pm as they capture all the action from what is sure to be a day of intense drama.
With the match kicking off at 3pm they will have been on air for a remarkable six hours building up to the box-office match-up between Scotland's best two sides.
It's BT's last cup match as they bow out of Scottish football domestic coverage at the end of the year and do not show the Scottish Cup.
Grant Philips, Executive Producer and Match Director at Sunset and Vine, the production company behind BT's coverage, said: "We are throwing everything at it.
"It's our last one, a huge game for BT Sport and our Sunset and Vine team in Glasgow.
"We love covering Scottish football and that’s reflected in everything we do up here."
The move comes amid criticism of Sky Sports coverage and their habit of ending match programs before managers have been able to give their verdict on the action.
Sky won the right to show the Premiership exclusively when they won the 2018 round of rights negotiations in a £160m deal and will take sole control of coverage from next season.
Premier Sports will show future League and Scottish Cup ties leaving BT only broadcasting Scottish side's European adventures.
