BT Sport has announced that it is offering its customers three options on their subscription package during the coronavirus outbreak.
Sky is already giving its customers the chance to ‘pause’ their monthly payments and now BT has unveiled its scheme - and it’s a little bit different.
BT customers can log into their account and get a bill credit for one month of BT Sport or choose for BT to donate that credit to the NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Urgent Appeal.
In a third option, customers are being offered three months free BT Sport with Entertainment TV for £10 per month on a 24-month contract.
A dedicated page on the BT.com website reads: “You can ask us to donate the cost of one month’s BT Sport to support NHS staff, or claim one month’s credit back and we’ll take it off your bill.
“If you’ve got fibre broadband with us, you can take our new flexible TV package and get BT Sport free for three months.”
On Friday, March 13, football matches across the UK were suspended as a result of the coronavirus outbreak and by March 18, Sky Sports said customers could pause subscriptions and reactivate them when live sporting action resumes.
