BT Sport continue Scottish football coverage as Ally McCoist joins Chris Sutton and co for season preview

BT Sport might not have any live TV coverage this season for Scottish football but they're bringing back their flagship show.

Scottish Football Extra returns to our screens on Friday evening to preview the new season - and it should be interesting.

Host Darrell Currie is joined by regulars Chris Sutton, Michael Stewart and Stephen Craigan and they'll also have Rangers legend Ally McCoist on board for the show.

McCoist has already been announced for being on Sky Sports' coverage of the Scottish Premiership this season, which starts tomorrow with the first live game of the season between Aberdeen and Rangers.

But he'll be on BT Sport first as they look ahead to the new season and look at all of the big talking points. That's likely to include Alfredo Morelos, Celtic's bid to win 10 In A Row and the whole situation surrounding Hearts and relegation.

The show starts at 6.30pm on Friday night and will be on at the same time every week throughout the Premiership season.

BT attracted a lot of plaudits for their coverage of the Scottish game during their time as rights holders for live games.

Sky Sports now have exclusive rights for the Premiership ahead of the new season while Premier Sports will show both the Betfred Cup and William Hill Scottish Cup.
