Bryson DeChambeau vs Brooks Koepka: Golf rivals to battle it out one-on-one in fifth edition of ‘The Match’

Golf rivals Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau will go head to head in the latest edition of ‘The Match’.

The American Ryder Cup team-mates are set to face off over 12 holes in the latest edition of Capital One’s live golf event series at the Wynn Course in Las Vegas on November 26, the PGA confirmed on Tuesday.

Four-time major champion Koepka and 2020 US Open winner DeChambeau have engaged in a long-running and headline-grabbing rivalry since 2019, trading barbs on several occasions.

Both men were on the USA’s team for the recent Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, with captain Steve Stricker admitting ahead of the tournament that he was unlikely to pair them together.

However, the relationship between the duo appeared to thaw somewhat in the wake of America’s crushing 19-9 win over Europe in Wisconsin, embracing out on the course before sharing a hug during the post-tournament celebrations - with no shortage of encouragement from team-mate Justin Thomas.

DeChambeau is no stranger to ‘The Match’, having partnered Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a 3&2 victory against Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady in the fourth edition of the event at The Reserve at Moonlight Basin - a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in Montana - back in July.

This time there will be no celebrity or legendary sporting partners as the two rivals battle it out one-on-one.
