Bryce Young’s new Dr. Pepper Fansville ad is a hit (aside from a few opposing fans)

Not content to be labeled as a dual-threat, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young added a third threat to his repertoire by showing off his acting skills in different commercials.

The reigning Heisman Trophy winner appeared in the latest Dr. Pepper commercial and I have to say… he’s pretty good at this too.

The ad, which is the latest installment in Dr. Pepper’s long-running “Fansville” campaign, stars Young in a melodramatic turn as a version of himself who has replaced the son of another family in the soap opera-esque town. Young’s got just enough of that squeaky clean smile mixed with an underlying menace to pull off this meaty role.

I’m not sure what his future plans are as an actor, but he’s already begun the journey to winning the HEGOT (that’s when you win a Heisman, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony).

So how did college football fans rate Young as an actor? The early reviews seem to be positive...

Of course every actor has his critics, especially when some of those critics watched you beat their team in overtime of a rivalry game last fall.
