Bryce Harper was showered with boos by Nats fans before striking out in first at-bat

Bryce Harper made his first trip back to Washington D.C. on a rainy Tuesday night and the Nationals fans were ready for their former star player.

After a brief weather delay before the game, the fans rained down boos on Harper as he stepped into the batters box for the first time as a member of the rival Philadelphia Phillies.

We wondered how he might be greeted after leaving the Nats behind for a boatload of money and a 13-year deal. Bob Costas said on the broadcast that there might even be a mix of cheers and boos.

Yeah, it sure didn’t feel like a mix of anything. Just boos:
