Bryce Harper smashed a clutch home run in his first game as a dad

Bryce Harper and his wife Kayla welcomed their first child, Krew Aron Harper, last Thursday, and in his first game back in the lineup on Monday night, the Phillies star played a key role in a thrilling comeback win over the Pirates.

The Pirates were four outs away from a series-opening win on the road in Citizens Bank Park, but Harper cut the Phillies’ deficit to a single run with a two-out solo shot off Richard Rodriguez.

After J.T. Realmuto reached base on an infield single, Corey Dickerson gave the Phillies the lead with a two-run homer later in the inning – but Pittsburgh’s Josh Bell tied the game in the top of the ninth with a pinch hit home run.

Sean Rodriguez won the game for the Phillies with a walk-off homer in the bottom of the 11th, which kept the team within a game of the Chicago Cubs for the second Wild Card spot.
