A busy Midlothian road will close for six hours next weekend, with significant travel disruption expected.
Bryans Road in Newtongrange will be off-limits at the junction with Park Road from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Sunday.
Midlothian Council say that this is so Scottish Water can carry out maintenance works in the area.
They add that the alternative route drivers should take is via Mansfield Road, The Beeches and the B703 Newbattle Road. Diversions for Park Road traffic are via Tenth Street, Anderson Avenue, Ross Place and Hamilton Crescent.
Pedestrian access will be maintained for the duration.
