Bryan Robson has no doubts that Manchester United will eventually hit peak form in the Premier League.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his United team headed into the international break with a whimper due to recent home results - but they remain within touching distance at the top.
Having finished as runners-up to Manchester City last season, key figures responsible for transfers at Old Trafford issued a triple statement of intent by signing Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo, the latter of which returning for a second act with United.
Varane and Ronaldo have hit the ground running, but Sancho and some others have struggled to keep up with expectation levels when it comes to the title race.
Injuries have been a factor too, according to Robson, with the iconic former captain backing Solskjaer to spark his team to life in the coming weeks.
After this international break, a tricky run of fixtures sees United play Leicester City, bitter rivals Liverpool and then Tottenham in the Premier League - with a Champions League clash at home to Italian outfit Atalanta sandwiched in between those mouth-watering showdowns.
Speaking to the United's official website, Robson said: "You know, things are not going too bad.
"We've been beaten in one Premier League game. We haven't been convincing in our performances, but we're getting results. Now I think everybody is sort of jumping on the bandwagon that it isn't good enough because of some of the signings we've made and the fixture list which is coming up in October.
"For me, just because we're playing the best teams, that doesn't mean we're not going to win. I think some of our fans have got it into their heads that we're automatically going to get beaten when we play Liverpool and City.

"No, we're not. We proved that last year, when we did really well against some of the top teams. So these players will raise their games when they're playing the best teams. I'm sure of that. It's so early on in the season and we're two points off the top.
"At this stage, Ole has still got a bit of work to do to get cohesion within the team because we haven't, apart from the Leeds game, just murdered any team on the pitch.
"Hopefully we will get away from the injury side, get a fully fit squad and then I'm sure we are going to see the best of Manchester United."
