Bryan Mbeumo has been pictured returning to training for pre-season... but at Brentford.
The Cameroon international has been the subject of transfer interest from Manchester United all summer, with the Red Devils having two bids for the forward knocked back so far.
Standard Sport’s understanding is that Mbeumo wants to make the move to the north-west but Brentford are playing hardball in negotiations with Ruben Amorim’s side.
Now, there has been another twist to the tale, with Mbeumo returning to Brentford’s training ground in west London to report for pre-season.
There had been question marks over whether he would return to the Bees amid his desire to make the switch up north, but Brentford posted a video to their social media accounts picturing Mbeumo arriving at the training ground ready to work.

The Cameroonian was shown last in a 16-second video, smiling as he greeted club staff.
The video also featured Mikkel Damsgaard, new signing Caoimhin Kelleher, and Brazilian Gustavo Nunes among others.
Mbeumo was an ever-present last season for Brentford, scoring 20 goals in 38 games, and laying on eight assists for his team-mates as the Bees finished 10th in Thomas Frank’s final term at the club.
