Bryan Gil, Ryan Sessegnon, Matt Doherty - Latest Tottenham injury news ahead of Man United clash

Nuno Espirito Santo's Tottenham side got back to winning ways on Wednesday night with a 1-0 victory over Burnley in the Carabao Cup.

A 1-0 loss at the hands of West Ham meant that Spurs have lost all four derbies in the capital so far this season, with losses to Chelsea, Arsenal and Crystal Palace adding to the misery.

Nevertheless, the Lilywhites responded well in the cup and Lucas Moura's headed goal booked them a place in the quarter-final.

Victory did come at a small cost however, as Bryan Gil was withdrawn in the first-half with the scores still level.

With that in mind, football.london brings you all the latest injury news ahead of Spurs' clash with Manchester United on Saturday.

Ryan Sessegnon

Sessegnon has been missing for Spurs since sustaining an injury whilst on England U21 duty last month.

What Espirito Santo has said: "We don't know [when he will return]. They [Sessegnon and Steven Bergwijn] are improving, day by day."

Expected return date: Unknown.

Bryan Gil

As previously mentioned, Gil was forced off through injury against Burnley.

At this moment in time, it is unclear what injury the young playmaker has sustained, but some suggestions on social media have alluded to a hamstring problem.

What Espirito Santo has said: "He's on ice and he is being assessed. There's not much more so let's wait to the proper assessment."

Expected return date: Unknown.

Matt Doherty

Doherty was taken off at half-time in the Republic of Ireland's comfortable win against Qatar in the last international break and didn't make the squad against Newcastle or West Ham.

However, the club announced on Tuesday that he had rejoined the group and would be available for selection on Wednesday.

He made it into the squad for the clash with Burnley, but was an unused substitute.

As such, he is expected to be in contention to feature against Manchester United.
