Bryan Gil, Ryan Sessegnon, Matt Doherty - Latest Spurs injury news ahead of Vitesse Arnhem clash

A new dawn at Tottenham Hotspur starts on Thursday, with new boss Antonio Conte set to take charge of his first game against Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League.

However, that is providing the former Inter Milan manager receives his work visa in time.

Spurs will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 3-0 home defeat to Manchester United, which proved to be Nuno Espirito Santo’s last game in charge of the north London club.

Tottenham are third in the Group G table, two points behind the visitors who occupy second spot, and are in need of a win after losing the reverse fixture 1-0.

With that in mind, football.london brings you all the latest injury news ahead of Spurs' clash with their Dutch opponents on Thursday.

Ryan Sessegnon

Sessegnon has been missing for Spurs since sustaining an injury whilst on England U21 duty in September.

What former boss Espirito Santo said: "We don't know [when he will return]. They [Sessegnon and Steven Bergwijn] are improving, day by day."

Expected return date: Unknown.

Bryan Gil

Gil was forced off due to injury during last week’s Carabao Cup win over Burnley.

At this moment in time, it is unclear what injury the young playmaker has sustained, but some suggestions on social media have alluded to a hamstring problem.

What Espirito Santo said: "He's on ice and he is being assessed. There's not much more so let's wait to the proper assessment."

Expected return date: Unknown.

Matt Doherty

Doherty was taken off at half-time in the Republic of Ireland's comfortable win against Qatar in the last international break, and didn't make the squad against Newcastle or West Ham.

However, he was an unused substitute during Saturday’s defeat to Manchester United and is expected to be in contention to feature against Vitesse Arnhem.

Expected return date: Vitesse Arnhem (H) - Nov 4
