A fed up holidaymaker "kicked off" in a Lanzarote villa after moaning that the in-laws were ruining his sunshine break.
Darren Bell smashed property and told his now former partner he was sick of 'doing everything with your lot'.
Bell, of Muttonhole Road, Hamilton, admitted threatening or abusive behaviour over a five-year period, including while on holiday.
The 34-year-old also pleaded guilty to two charges of assaulting his partner at their home in Scholars Gate, East Kilbride.
Hamilton Sheriff Court heard the couple were on holiday with family members at the Tropical Island complex in Las Palmas.
Paula Wedlock, prosecuting, said: "The accused had been drinking all day.
"He left everyone at the pool area and went back to the villa.
"His then partner went to check on him after an hour and Bell then kicked off, saying 'I'm fed up doing everything with your lot'.
"He started kicking furniture about and his partner went into the bedroom to change.
"The accused followed and began throwing glasses and other stuff about the room.
"His former partner's father then went to the villa as he heard smashing and was concerned for his daughter's welfare."
The court heard that Bell's aggressive behaviour included threats against his partner's mother.
He also used his ex's bank card to take money from her account during a caravan holiday and assaulted her twice in 2018.
On the first occasion he grabbed her wrist and shoved her against a wall.
A month later he seized her by the throat and pushed her against the bedroom wall.
The court heard a recording she had made on her phone of a foul-mouthed rant in which Bell accused her family of trying to 'destroy' him.
When his partner walked out after the second assault, Bell told her: "Thank God I'm finally getting rid of you."
After studying a criminal justice social work report, Sheriff Thomas Millar said he was prepared to make Bell the subject of a two-year supervision order.
He must also attend a programme for domestic abusers and stay away from his former partner under a two-year non-harassment order.
