Brutal camera angle shows the second the Pelicans’ hearts ripped in half after Klay Thompson 3

For most of Tuesday night, the Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans were locked in quite the battle. But then the fourth quarter came around, and the Warriors managed to pull away with a 35-20 final stanza to win 120-119.

It’s a painful loss for the Pelicans, who are barely hanging on at 38-38 in eighth place in the Western Conference standings. Their dejection was perfectly captured in a comparison video from KNBR’s Sam Hustis.

After Klay Thompson nailed a dagger three to give the Warriors a 118-103 lead with mere minutes remaining, this camera angle shows a seemingly beyond-depressed Pelicans bench reacting to another defeat.
